So we’ve topped the group..We’re going to face a team who finishes second..Although that I dont feel is going to be much of an advantage as Milan, Inter, Bayern/Juventus etc.. are all likely to finish second..What this does do is that it ensures that the second leg of the game will be played at Stamford Bridge..Believe me people thats an advantage..Anyway forgetting all that Its great to go into the Knockout rounds full of confidence..and talking of Confidence I dont really think any other team is as confident as Chelsea is right now..I havent watched this match so I cant really comment much but then from what I’ve read it seems to have been something like what happened between the two at SB..Porto had their chances..Cech thwarted them twice or thrice..Anelka and Malouda seemed to have combined well..Another talking point was Zhirkov starting..I would have loved to see him play..too bad I was a little too sleepy..:(

With this matchday a lot of the groups have become clearer, while some have become more complex..Group A..Bayern beat Maccabi and Juventus got humbled by Bordeaux..so now that means Bordeaux top and Bayern and Juventus face each other in the last match with winner progressing..I so desperately want to see Bayern in the Knockouts..Real Madrid have more or less qualified..whereas Milan will follow if they can beat Zurich in their last match..Barcelona completely anhhilated Inter..It was really surprising to see Mourinho lose like that..but Inter should qualify if they can get the better of Rubin Kazan in the last match..and the best thing about this matchday..Liverpool got demoted to Europa and Man Utd surrendered Old Trafford to bottom of the group Besiktas!
